- MNT is the rewarding mechanism for Minutes Network users and facilitators through which Minutes Network shares the value of low-cost international calling with the network's participants, forming the backbone of a new sharing economy whereby the recipients of international voice calls can realise usable value.
- MNT is a limited supply token. Only 500,000,000 will ever be minted. All tokens will have been released to the market across the first five years of Minutes Network's services commencing operation.
- At launch 10% (50,000,000 MNTs) are being released for the public sale. (This is in addition to the 2.5% already issued to HNW individuals and institutions via private sale). The remaining tokens will be algorithmically released over 60 months, drip-feeding the tokens into circulation.
- The MNT tokenomics model has consciously and deliberately built in a degree of holder protection. Whilst we cannot make any projections or promises on future MNT value, the distribution model seeks to avoid several recognised crypto project potential pitfalls.

As such, we characterise the token as an unregulated utility token. As a by-product of the token's commercial value, we expect that they will be readily tradeable on secondary markets.
